Well, Ashley might give you the t...@ Cheeta' -

Well, Ashley might give you the third degree if you penned that, but I wouldn't, and I doubt Mary would, either. Mary was, after all, the only female on the ride. Also, trust me on this, that was likely the last time I will EVER catch Mary F. on a Permanent or a Brevet or a Populaire or a 24-hour race or a 500-mile race or any kind of bicycle ride. After all, Mary is one of the two NC Randonnueses that is RAAM Qualified -- and you may recall hearing about what the other NC rando female that is RAAM Qualified did when LeeD tried to drop her near the end of an Irregular ride. (If you are unsure, check out the post for Aug-08-2009.)

...Mskiffrunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17627376178648891371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6342856829001765305.post-79168084764707384992010-06-28T15:41:56.345-04:002010-06-28T15:41:56.345-04:00"By the silhouette of her calves against the ..."By the silhouette of her calves against the bright spot on the road in front of her"
Somehow I know that comment would ban me forever from my future guest pens on the Irregulars Blog!
CheetahAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6342856829001765305.post-84501362151058964722010-06-28T14:28:27.378-04:002010-06-28T14:28:27.378-04:00Actually, Iva, by either Rando or Irregular standa...Actually, Iva, by either Rando or Irregular standards, not much adventure. Pretty much just straight forward riding. The only things that had to be overcome were (1) possible lack of water and supplies - which was dealt with by taking on water at every possible chance, and (2) a couple of us were quite tired -- btw, sleep deprivation was not included in category # 2.

Starting from the fire station would gain only 15 miles of exploration energy. Given the need to absolutely minimize the vehicles at the fire station, a car-pool situation would be called for. Further, given our proven difficulties with organizing and implementing a car-pool and caravan, with all necessary equipment arriving at the end, we'd probably be better off developing / increasing our individual exploration energy capacity, and leaving the carpooling trips for longer ventures, such as Hanging Rock, Roxboro, and Vance-Granville Community College.

...Mskiffrunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17627376178648891371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6342856829001765305.post-48760732821670170462010-06-28T11:34:38.836-04:002010-06-28T11:34:38.836-04:00Quite an adventure, Martin.
