YTD: 27 rides; 1156.7 m.; 72 hrs, 56 min; 15.9 mph.

[Edit 2021-02-08:  Although a link to the recreated route is in the internal title line,
I decided to also embed the route just above.
The original route link was to a "TrimbleOutdoors" route, the new one is RWGPS.
The routing shown includes the detour to avoid what had become PATHETIC
Conditions on New Light Rd.
That detour made the route approx 4-miles longer than what we might ride today.]

Nice day for a ride.  Nice ride.  Reasonably light breeze.

Iceman turned for PUE when we got to the llamas @ LongMill / Pokomoke corner.
We forgot to count the llamas.

First ride for Norris in a month?  Seems incredible.
Once we went past ~ 57 miles, it was the longest ride of the year for Jason.
Also, first time ever for Jason on Flat Rock Rd.
I kinda' like Flat Rock Rd -- if the wind is not strong out of the SW.

Jason apparently broke a spoke around mile 30, but we didn't realize that until around mile 55
When Norris blew out an inner tube.

Looked like the tube blew out along the seam, suggesting a faulty tube.
Good thing about Norris's flat was that it happened on Cannady Mill Rd
About 2/3 the way up the climb from the Tar River;
We all got a short and much welcome rest.

Not much from which to build a humorous antecdote.
But did you know that Jason is only 29 years old -- I'm sure he told me he had just turned 30.

Oh, why is the title of this entry "3rd time a charm"?
Because the first two times I rode this course, I failed to complete it.
[But those two failures ante-date the creation of this blog.]
